Constitution
The British Mycological Society's purpose and rules for how it should operate are set out in the Constitution. A review of the Constitution was conducted by Council in 2023. Updates to the Constituion to bring greater flexibility and clarity to the Society's operations and governance were approved by members at the Annual General Meeting on 2nd October 2023. An amendment to support the move from a fixed to a rolling membership year was approved at the AGM on 25 Sepember 2024.
Annual Report and Accounts
The Trustees' report and the accounts are prepared each year and presented to the membership for the AGM. They are also submitted to the Charity Commission.
The Society's accounting year ends on 31st December. The accounts are prepared for the Treasurer by the Society's Accountants: Whittingham Riddell, 1 Edison Court, Ellice Way, Wrexham Technology Park, Wrexham LL13 9YT.
