Worcestershire Fungus Group
The Worcestershire Fungus Group has been in existence for 17 years. It was formed to cater for the increasing number of people sharing a fascination for the extensive range of fungi to be found in the county. Throughout the year, we walk in the woodlands of Worcestershire, and occasionally, we are invited by other county groups to join in their own forays.
The group’s aims are to promote the study, conservation and recording of the variety of species of fungi which grow in Worcestershire. These records are passed to landowners and the local Biological Records Office. Perhaps more importantly, they are also added to National Databases for future research and records.
