Local fungus groups exist in many parts of the country, helping to put mushrooms on the map in the UK. They are run on a voluntary basis by enthusiasts seeking to share their knowledge of wild fungi and help improve identification skills. They provide a welcoming environment for new members to enjoy exploring the world of fungi.
Every two years, a meeting of Recording Group Leaders is organised by the Network Coordinator. The meeting usually runs over a weekend, from Friday evening to Sunday lunchtime, and covers discussion on a wide range of topics. Attendees are also able to catch up with friends and colleagues and meet other, like-minded experts and enthusiasts during breaks and sociable evening events!
