Recording Network

Local Fungus Recording Groups now exist in many parts of the country, helping to put mushrooms on the map in the UK. They are run on a voluntary basis by enthusiasts seeking to share their knowledge of wild fungi and help improve identification skills. They provide a welcoming environment for new members to enjoy exploring the world of fungi.

Monthly Recording Network Bulletins containing news and updates are available to BMS Members.

Group Leaders meeting

Every two years, a meeting of Recording Group Leaders is organised by the Network Coordinator. The meeting usually runs over a weekend, from Friday evening to Sunday lunchtime, and covers discussion on a wide range of topics.  Attendees are also able to catch up with friends and colleagues and meet other, like-minded experts and enthusiasts during breaks and sociable evening events!
