British Mycological Society Grants

Grants are available to support a range of activities in mycology including research, training, meeting and conference participation, educational projects and outreach. 

BMS grants have various deadlines and eligibility criteria. A minimum of 6-months BMS membership is required for some applications. Select a grant to find out more about the activities it supports and how to apply.

Research Grant

To provide funding for new fungal biology research projects.

Massee Arts Grant

To support the creation of artistic works that engage all sectors of society.

Undergraduate Student Vacation Bursary

For undergraduates to undertake a fungal biology research project in the summer vacation before their final year.

Small Grant

For activities that support mycological research, education, recording, conservation, or the promotion of mycology.

Eunice Jones Postgraduate Fund

For postgraduate students to visit laboratories or attend conferences or workshops.
