Join the British Mycological Society

Membership runs from 1st January to 31st December annually.

Applications received in October, November and December will be processed to include the remaining part of the year and carry on through the following year.  Note: this excludes journal costs, which are charged for each year.

We'd like to know about your mycological interests and experience - please tell us in the 'interests' section of the joining form.

Applicants in the student categories are asked to provide additional information:

Postgraduate Student Membership: the student’s research supervisor is requested to certify that the applicant is a registered postgraduate student involved in mycological research (Postgraduate Student Membership is allowed for a maximum of four years).

Undergraduate Student Membership: proof that the applicant is registered for a first degree or equivalent qualification, at a University or equivalent institution.

If any personal details have changed, particularly postal address or email, please update your profile.
(Log in, then go to 'My Account'  at the top of the screen)

Updates will be automatically communicated to the BMS office to amend any journal subscriptions.
