UK Fungus Day

UK Fungus Day mapUK fungus Day 2013 had financial support from the British Mycological Society and was supported by The BMS in partnership with the Society of Biology and formed part of their 'Biology Week 2013' programme. Major events were held at Cambridge Science Centre, The National Botanic Garden of Wales, Kew Gardens, The Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh (Plantlife Scotland), The John Innes Centre Norwich, Queenswood Arboretum and The Whitby Museum.

Thank you to all of our event organisers who supported UK Fungus Day and made the inaugural UK Fungus Day weekend such a success!

Two YouTube videos produced by  the Naturalist, Steve England, were made in support of UK Fungus Day (sponsored by The British Society for Plant Pathology and British Mycological Society). To view the movies click on the links below:

Remember that we have teamed up with iSpot which provides a platform for fungal enthusiasts to log their fungal finds. To join in just add your observations to iSpot using the descriptive tag #ukfungusday - and you might be able to help others learn about what they've found.
