11th EUROPEAN CONFERENCE on FUNGAL GENETICS

The conference will be held in Marburg, a traditional German town that is famous for its university. The university was founded in 1527 as the first protestant university in the world. The scenic and charming medieval centre of Marburg is built on a hill surrounding the Landgrave castle. The conference site will be the lecture hall building of Philipps-Universität situated in the lower town next to the Lahn river and the old botanical garden. Marburg can be reached from Frankfurt and its international airport by train in about 90 minutes.

In the tradition of the ECFG conferences the program will comprise of plenary lectures addressing new developments and these will be given by distinguished leaders in fungal genetics. Plenary sessions will be complemented by workshops where selected PhD students and postdocs can present their work in short talks. Additionally, there will be poster sessions for more informal discussions.
The meeting will provide ample opportunities to meet and discuss science with colleagues and friends, to strengthen or establish collaborations or future working options for young scientists.
