Dorset Fungus Group Formerly known as the Purbeck Fungus Group, the Dorset Fungus Group was established in 1995 in the Dorset village of Lytchett Matravers near Poole. The name change came about in 2003 to acknowledge that membership of the group covered a far wider part of Dorset than just the Purbeck area. Drugs Act 2005: the practical interpretation of Section 21 of the Drugs Act 2005 for Field Mycologists Click on the hyperlink in the title to download a document that has been prepared in consultation with the Home Office Drugs Branch Licensing Section and with reference to Home Office Circular 36/2005. Whilst the Home Office is happy that these guidelines are satisfactory from a legislative point of view, it should be noted that only the courts can give an authoritative view. Field mycologists, in following these guidelines, are acting lawfully and do not require a licence in so doing.
Dublin Naturalist's Field Club Fungus Working Group This working group was established on 27 January 2001. As a specialist group within the DNFC, they provide a forum for naturalists who wish to undertake identifications of fungal specimens using a microscope. Participants are encouraged to provide their own fungal material for study. The Herbarium at the National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Dublin is open as a venue for events.
