Cotswold Fungus Group has over 150 members and organises regular fungus forays throughout the year. We foray a wide range of woodland and grassland sites throughout Wiltshire and Gloucestershire, and occasional joint forays with adjoining county fungus groups (Oxfordshire, North Somerset & Bristol, Forest of Dean, Worcestershire, etc).  The group also organises a week-long fungus foray visit to France each autumn, including attendance at either an international or regional mycological festival.  CFG holds a major autumn open-foray event culminating in a public fungus display at The National Arboretum, Westonbirt, attended by all of the local west-country fungus groups.

CFG forays are mostly Sundays, occasionally Saturdays, morning and/or afternoon with a pub lunch inbetween.  The main foray season runs for 5 to 6 weekends in the spring months (April and May) and 10 to 12 weekends in the autumn (September to November). Occasional out-of-season forays are run from time to time, including our open-air picnic and foray at Westonbirt in January. Children are welcome if supervised, dogs permitted on some sites.  Beginners are always  genuinely welcomed and encouraged.

Full details on the group's activities, foray calendar, contact information, membership fees, membership application form, photo gallery and much more is on our website at www.cotswoldfungusgroup.com
