Italian mushroom hunters die

According to a report in the Guardian on 29 Aug the recent rains in Italy have led to a large flush of fungal fruitbodies which have attracted the attention of mushroom gatherers. Some have been scaling the mountains to reach the sought after prizes with little concern for personal safety. As a consequence the report states that 18 people have lost their lives in 10 days.
